Let's Talk Disney!
Let’s talk Disney shall we?? It’s one of my favorite places to be. Every time I go, I feel like I’m going home. Of course that’s probably because I’ve been every year since I was born?! We are Disney Vacation Club members and know the ins and outs of pretty much all things Disney. I’ll show you what and how I’m packing, what bags I’m using at the parks and why, as well as what to expect when you’re there. I can hardly wait..let’s get started!

First things first, let’s talk packing. 1. How long are you going? 2. What time of year are you going? 3. Are you packing for kids as well?
Lets talk packing cubes. I LOVE them. They help keep everything organized. With a family of 5, there is A LOT to organize. There are quite a few different brands and styles but THESE are what we have. Also, a good makeup and/or toiletry bag is a must. Finally, rolling luggage. Lifesaver. All my kids have them. They come in all different sizes and no matter their age, they can roll it themselves. Hallelujah! I also bring a steamer so I don’t have to worry about how anything comes out of the suitcase.
As far as outfits go, I pack for the weather. I love all things Disney tees. There are so many good options out there. You can prepare by buying them a head of time instead of waiting until you get there. If you want actual Disney merch, you can go through Shop Disney Parks and find the same items as the parks.
And you know I can’t go anywhere without some designer…
Lets talk shorts. I love American Eagle shorts. I feel like the quality is great and you can’t beat the price point as usually some pair of shorts are on sale at some point. Here are a few of my favorites. Full try on saved to my highlights on Instagram and a full blog post with shorts details located in the American Eagle Try-On post.
As far as shoes go, that’s up to you. Can you handle being in flip flops all day? I can! I love flip flops and if it’s really hot, I cannot stand to keep my feet in sneakers. That being said, I always bring sneakers with me. Depending on time of year, I will usually wear them and pack my sandals/flip flops to save space. If we are going to be at one of the parks from open to close, I will probably wear sneakers. I try to pack one of each style to cover all my basis of what we end up doing. I’ve linked all the shoes in the pictures so click on any to shop!
Lets talk makeup and sunscreen. Almost all of my makeup has a sunscreen in it. I get 2 kinds of sunscreen for myself and my kids. Separate for face and body. I love Coola, Supergoop, as well as Peter Thomas Roth . These options are great for the face. Below are the body SPF.
Lets talk bags. I usually bring a backpack to Disney. For the simple reason that you want your hands free. With all of the walking and rides and line waiting, you will get tired of carrying a bag. Trust me. I am looking at a “Bum Bag” currently and all of you over on Instagram def have your opinions. Haha! For those of you not following along on Instagram, in stories I talked about getting a bum bag for our upcoming trip. Essentially a fanny pack. But you wear it cross body. I’m just not sure if it will fit what I need. The girls all have their own backpacks (I’ll link them!) so I don’t have to carry too much of theirs.
I have a full blog post on back packs if you want to check that out! Just type in “backpack” in the search bar!
If you have never been to Disney, it may seem overwhelming. My best advice is simply..you CAN’T do it all. So don’t try. There is too much. Do your research, pick your favorite things you want to see/do and don’t stress about the rest. Just HAVE FUN!
Well I hope this give you a few ideas to make traveling more organized and less stressful. Most of this can be applied to places other then Disney..okay, maybe not the ears;) As always, if you have any questions or comments, leave them in the box below! Have a magical day!
