Sweet Turkey Chili
I love this time of year! Fall is the best and it’s the time I start making my turkey chili again. It’s a sweet chili with not too many ingredients and a kid favorite. Also, picky (adult) eaters as well enjoy it. It’s been tested! Sometimes the best recipes are the simplest. Lets get started!
Ingredients:
This chili has only a couple of ingredients…
1lb of ground turkey (or hamburg if you prefer)
2 cans of home style baked beans
1 package of chili seasoning
1 can of ‘kitchen ready’ tomatoes
1 can of whole kernel corn
1 green pepper
1/2 vidalia onion
Tbsp olive oil
Toppings- Sour cream, cheddar cheese, avocado
Step by Step:
Heat oil over medium heat
Cook peppers and onions until soft
Add turkey and cook almost through
Add chili seasoning and finish cooking turkey. Seasoning will coat the turkey
Add kitchen ready tomatoes, beans, and corn WITH the liquid in can
Cook on low for 20 minutes.
In my opinion. this chili is better the next day. I usually make it a day ahead because all the flavors really come out after it sits for a while. Top with cheddar cheese, sour cream, and avocado. Hots optional but this is a sweet chili.
I hope you enjoy this crowd pleaser! If you make this let me know, I love to hear from you guys! As always, if you have any questions or comments, leave them in the box below!
