Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

With only a couple weeks until Thanksgiving, it’s time to start thinking of our OOTD. I did a poll on Instagram recently, asking if you were dressing up or going casual this year. You voted (overwhelmingly) casual. I also asked if it was because it’s the year of 2020..and you overwhelmingly, answered yes. I am giving you a mix of both, leaning towards a casual but put together vibe. I’m sure there is something for everyone here..let’s get started!

First things first, the sweater dress. I LOVE a good sweater dress. This one is from Target and has the best puff sleeves. It comes in 2 colors and is under $30! I think it looks best paired with boots. Linked a few in the pic above. Boots are Goodnight Macaroon and come in 2 other colors.

Again with the sweater dress. I showed here how i would wear this black Amazon sweater dress 2 different ways. Dresses up or down, they both look put together. Also, changing/adding a hat can make a big difference/make an outfit.

Showing this off-the-shoulder sweater from H&M a couple of ways. I love that you can wear this one on or off the shoulder. It comes in a couple colors and under $20! It’s a great length for mid rise denim. Would also be cute with a skirt!

This top is SO cute! It’s one of those tops that just fits perfectly. Target def got the cut/fit right. It has a smocking at the bottom that holds it into place. I paired with high waisted denim. It is on the cropped side so high waist is the way to go with this top. Would be really cute with a high waist midi skirt!

This is another gorgeous blouse from Target . This one is longer and can be tucked in. Not fitted. I love the high neck and flowy arms. Tight at the wrist. Comes in a green that would be amazing for the holidays. Also, these chain mules. These are Steve Madden. They have been on my best seller list multiple times since the end of summer and have made it back on this week! They come in black as well. If I didn’t already have THESE from Target, I would have got those too!

I cannot say enough good things about this sweater. The sleeves are everything. It is so soft and a wayyy less expensive look-a-like to another brand. Wearing my TTS medium. Also, these boots are my new favorites. They are a splurge but go with EVERYTHING and will last a long time. I have already paired them with denim, spanx, leggings, skirts, dresses, tights, you get the idea…

Case in point, here’s another way to wear the boots. I paired them with this amazing bodysuit. Yup, it’s a bodysuit. Loving the puff sleeve trend and this color is perfect for fall. I mean, is pink ever not perfect?!

Here is another way to wear that sweater. I paired it with Spanx and the faux fur mules I linked previously.

Let’s talk TIGHTS. These are from Target and are only $10! They come in other fun patterns as well, but I think the plaid is perfect for fall. As you can see, I have put them with a few different outfits. I love them with ALL kinds of shoes as well.

Camel is a favorite color of mine year round but especially in the fall. A long camel cardigan is a closet staple and can be dressed up or down. Even though the bottoms of these denim are distressed, the fitted top and fur mules dress it up enough to make it look put together.

Loving this cranberry color with the grey boots. Again, from Goodnight Macaroon. You can get 30% off right now with code: FALL2020. My pearl headband is from Amazon and comes in a pack of 6.

These boots and hat are EVERYTHING. A good hat can really dress up an outfit. I’ve linked a few in the pic above. This oversized sweater is cute with a front tuck. TIP: If you are going to wear a oversized chunky top, wear a fitted bottom so you don’t look frumpy.

Love this casual look. The boots give it a more dressed up feel. Showing you how you can dress up a graphic tee also, and adding a hat would be super cute as well. I have scarves linked in a blog post HERE.

Here is another way to wear this chunky sweater. I paired it with fitted denim and my Marc Fisher boots.

Okay, let’s get casual. If you are going real casual this year, these are for you. One: Spanx. They make anything look more put together, while still being a legging. Two: Sneakers with sparkle will give you a more polished look. Three: If you are going to wear UGGs, make them cute! I also tend to add puffer vests to any outfit. It’s good if it’s not so cold for a coat.

These are my favorite winter boots that are still super cute and would make any outfit.

Here are some affordable “dressier” boot options.

I hope these outfits give you some inspiration for your Thanksgiving OOTDs! I realize this year is different and you may need a little help going in a different direction then you normally would. Again, if you have any questions or comments, leave them in the box below. You can also send me a DM on Instagram. I will get back usually by the end of the day. Happy fall babes!
