What's in My Makeup Bag
I get a lot of questions about what I have in my makeup bag. I have said before that my makeup tends to change with the season but when I find tried and true products, I will stick with them. These are a few staples I have found I continue to repurchase. Let’s get started!
First things first, I always have 3 different makeup bases in my bag at all times, such as: foundation, CC cream, and tinted moisturizer, because I never know what kind of coverage I’ll be looking for on a given day. Let’s go in order of how I apply!
1. Bare Minerals Prime Time in light. $27
After I moisturize, I use the Bare Minerals Prime Time. It’s a BB Primer-Cream with SPF 30. If you don’t need coverage you could go with just this.. It is tinted.
2. Peter Thomas Roth Skin to Die For CC Cream in medium. $39
The Peter Thomas Roth Skin to Die For leaves your skin just that. It is almost a full-coverage CC cream. This is what I use the most for an everyday look. I use shade medium.
Tarte Shape Tape is a full coverage foundation. I use this on days I will be out all day or when I’m shooting campaigns.
* I use self tanner on my body but NOT my face. I use medium colors in my foundations and CC creams so that my face matches my body.
4. Original Beauty Blender. $20
I love the Beauty Blender. I do not like using my hands. I feel it wipes the make up right off. I dampen the Blender and squeeze all the excess water out. I apply product to the Blender and dot over my face before blending in. The pointed side is great for the inside corner of your eyes.
5. Tarte Shape Tape Mini Concealer in light sand $10
I actually don’t use that much under eye concealer so I buy the mini. It’s only $10 and lasts forever.
6. Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder in natural finish. $23
This setting powder is the best I have found for me. Foundation stays all day and looks flawless hours later. Setting powder can make or break your look and even if you only spend a few minutes a day on your face, you want it to last.
7. Benefit- Hoola Matte Bronzer in natural bronze. $30
I love this Hoola Bronzer! It gives the perfect amount of color. I may do my makeup order a little differently then others in that I do not do my eyes until the end. Many beauty bloggers start with their eyes and then if any makeup gets under their eyes, they can conceal and don’t have to start over. I prefer to do my eyes last because *TIP For an everyday look I will use bronzer as eye shadow. It is the perfect neutral and compliments all eye colors.
8. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in dark brown. $22
I love this liner. It has a micro tipwhich makes the liner glide on easily for a strait line. Also, I use dark brown instead of black because *TIP Brown doesn’t look like a harsh line. Most eyelashes are a shade of brown/blonde and black eyeliner can stand out. The brown just opens your eyes and if you can get close enough to the lash line, you don’t notice it.
9. Smashbox Photo Edit Eyeshadow Trio in nude pic fair $42
I love the Smashbox trios. Three colors for the different parts of your eye with no huge palate to carry around. The nude colors are perfect for every day but if you want more for a night out, use a little more of the dark for a smokey eye.
*NOTE- I have lash extensions so I do not use any mascara.
10. Nars Blush in orgasm $30
This Nars blush is the perfect shade of peachy-pink with shimmer. It compliments any skin tone. Again, I do this out of order as I like to wait until my eyes are done as to not compete. No one wants to look like a clown and I like to highlight the eyes, cheeks, or lips but not all three at the same time.
11. COOLA Makeup Setting Spray SPF 30 $36
This stuff is a game changer. This summer I have been out in 100+ deg heat and my makeup looked flawless. I had two people comment in one day if I sweat because my face wasn’t shiny at all. I love the added protection of the SPF layered with all the other products I use. I also love the all natural ingredients of COOLA and support all of their products. Do yourself a favor and get this.
Well beauties, this is my round-up of my favorite products right now into fall. As always, if you have a question or comment, leave it in the box below. I love hearing from you!
