Sunday Self-Care Routine

Sundays are the start of new weeks. Well..the day I like to get ready for the new week. I call it self-care sunday and it’s a time I take for myself (usually an hour) to get myself in a good place for the week. I firmly believe everyone needs a self-care day set aside. It doesn’t need to be a whole day, like I said, I give myself an hour, but a time for just YOU. Let’s get started!

First things first, CLEAN those makeup brushes. I cannot stress this enough to clean them at least once a week! Nothing will make you break out faster then a dirty makeup brush.

Once I clean my brushes & sponges, I wash my face and use a mask. I change my mask depending on what my skin needs at the moment.

Depending on the day and time of year, I’ll also do my self tanner. I wash off the old and apply the new. Sleep in it and shower in the morning. Prep is removing old tanner, shaving (I like the Flamingo from Target), and applying lotion (also Target) to dry areas.

I will also use this time to re-order any products I’m out of or almost out of. I just go through and look at everything and make sure if I’m not using it to get rid of it. Too many products go bad after only a few months so look at the dates.

Lastly, I’ll put on some pj’s (I don’t care what time it is, lol) and make my hot water with lemon or night time tea. This is the signal to my family to leave mama alone;)
